First and foremost, I would like to apologize to trans and non-binary people for the lack of inclusivity on the doctolib website. I will use the first names and pronouns you provide during your consultation.
Each person is unique, and it’s important for me to take this into consideration in how I treat you during your consultation. I therefore strive to care for you with kindness, attentiveness, and empathy. Your consent will be systematically requested for each procedure, every action, and every prescription. If you wish, I will explain each of the actions I perform as I progress through an examination.
I also support you in practicing self-gynecology, which involves learning about your body and allowing you to perform acts such as inserting a speculum or doing a pap smear yourself.
A gynecological exam is rarely necessary, and when it is, it can be postponed if it’s more comfortable for you. Regardless of the exam performed, it’s never necessary to undress completely.
I am trained (and continue to train) in welcoming and caring for trans, non-binary, and intersex people.
You can keep your veil on during your appointment if you wear one, regardless of the reason for your visit.
You may ask someone to accompagny you to your appointment. However, I may ask them to leave at some point if it’s relevant to your care.
